They already know we're here. What use is there in prolonging someone's pain, keeping them trapped in their own mind? Death is unkind, but this is still less of a prison than watching yourself be made a puppet.

I would rather be myself than anyone or anything else. They may not know how much of a prison it is, but they shouldn't have to know to be less like cruel.
