shu does falter a little at just how sudden and sharp that burst of pain is, especially when coming out of absolutely nowhere like that. the emotion sharing has been frequent enough now that he’s come to figure whatever isn’t his own emotions must be coming from whoever is nearby at the time. but the physical echoes? those have been rarer. and definitely not as intense as this one.
